Compilations of ‘driving songs’ are usually filled with the worst, most predictable dad rock rubbish - boring enough to make you want to crash your car to make it stop, rather than inspiring a well-accompanied car journey.

Hopefully, you’ll find this driving playlist a little more imaginative. The Extra Urban title comes from one of the mpg/emissions testing cycles in the car industry, so it contains music to accompany faster-paced motorways, A- and B-roads.

Don’t get carried away though, kids: don’t let the faster-paced music influence your sense of speed and be a little heavy-footed on that accelerator. Really, it’s a thing. Honest.
